Important: What We Don't Do

Crownside Legal provides exclusively American legal services. Therefore, we cannot and do not provide advice on any area of British law. Similarly, while we specialize in immigration to the United States (U.S.), we cannot and do not advise on immigration to the United Kingdom.

Because we do not advise on British law, or provide services relating to immigration to the United Kingdom, we are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) , which is the is the regulatory body for solicitors and law firms in England and Wales who practice British law.

Unlike the United Kingdom, the U.S. has two broad categories of law: Federal and State. With limited exceptions, all properly licensed attorneys are permitted to practice federal law, which includes immigration, bankruptcy, SEC (securities and exchange) law, social security law, intellectual property (patents and copyrights), and federal anti-discrimination and civil rights laws. Per the 10th Amendment however, much legal authority is delegated to the States, and regulated  by them. Therefore, while we while we might provide an overview of how laws are generally structured across the United States, specific legal advice is always limited to states in which our Attorney Andrew Sones is licensed and regulated, although we can often refer experienced colleagues and specialists in other States as required by our clients .
